If car salesmen negotiated the way Iran does, you’d end up feeling guilty for not overpaying ten times for a used car that doesn’t work and feel threatened by the salesman that if you don’t pay he will become extreme and drive over you; and at the same time you’d be told that by not buying the car you’ve damaged his dignity, humiliated him and caused a fight to happen. You’d also be told that even if you don’t buy it, then it will get sold anyway…and that by not buying it, you will guarantee that the dealership will both go bankrupt and blow up the neighborhood.
And you’re like “why did I walk into this dealership in the first place?”
