The US and Russia are increasingly having incidents in eastern Syria. On February 19 a US patrol and a Russian armored vehicle almost came into contact as the Russians tried to pass the Americans. MECRA detailed the story here.
In late December a “brawl” was reported, that apparently never happened. Tensions were reported on January 21 and February 4.
There was also an incident at Khirbet Amo on February 12 where regime gunmen fired on a US patrol. Russians arrived at the incident.
Now, February 22, a new report emerges. Ivan Hassib writes “American forces intercept a Russian military convoy road heading to the city of Amouda on the international road (M4).”
